Prepare new pond water for fills, top-offs and water changes. Water conditioners are used for source-water concerns such as chlorine or chloramine and are different from pH adjusters, clarifiers and routine biological treatments.
When to condition pond water
When filling a new pond with treated municipal water.
When replacing or topping off a meaningful volume of treated water.
When the source-water disinfectant and product label indicate conditioning is required.

Common questions
Is a water conditioner the same as a clarifier?
No. Conditioners prepare source water. Clarifiers address specific clarity or suspended-particle conditions.
Do I dose the entire pond or only the new water?
