Description

Three kinds of biological support in one freshwater aquarium treatment.

UltraClear Freshwater Complete combines a bacteria starter, water clarifier and sludge digester. It helps establish biological filtration while supporting clearer water and the breakdown of organic waste in new or established aquariums.

Support your aquarium's natural processes

Establish biological filtration: live beneficial bacteria support aquarium cycling and the processing of ammonia and nitrite.
Improve clarity: helps reduce haziness associated with organic waste.
Reduce organic buildup: helps digest debris and sludge for a cleaner aquarium.
Simple liquid dosing: measure according to your aquarium volume and the reason for treatment.

Dosing guide

Startup: 1 fl oz per 10 gallons, following the package directions.
Maintenance: 1 fl oz per 40 gallons at the interval specified on your bottle.
Clarity support: 1 fl oz per 20 gallons weekly until clear, as directed.

Shake well and add with filtration and circulation running. Continue water-quality testing and routine aquarium care. Use your test results and label instructions to guide fish additions; adding bacteria does not replace monitoring ammonia and nitrite.

Choose a size

Available in 12 fl oz and 1 gallon sizes. Calculate the amount needed for your aquarium and allow for repeat maintenance doses.

Common questions

Is this only for new aquariums?

No. It also supports water clarity and organic-waste breakdown in established freshwater tanks.

Can I stop testing after adding bacteria?

No. Continue monitoring ammonia, nitrite and other water parameters as your aquarium's biological filter develops.

What should I use for a reef aquarium?

See Saltwater Complete for a marine and reef-specific formula, with its own dosing instructions.
