Starting dose
Begin with 5 fl oz per 1,000 gallons, following the directions on your bottle. Equivalent examples:
100 gallons: 0.5 fl oz
500 gallons: 2.5 fl oz
1,000 gallons: 5 fl oz
How to use
Test pond pH and estimate the water volume before dosing.
Dilute the measured dose in at least 1 gallon of pond water, then distribute evenly with circulation or aeration running.
Retest after 24 hours. Adjust gradually; do not change pH by more than 0.5 units in 24 hours.
Follow the label for any smaller follow-up doses and continue testing.
Retest after 24 hours before making another adjustment.
A common pond target is pH 6.8–8.0; use a range appropriate to your fish and pond. The amount of change depends on your water chemistry, so dosing does not replace testing.
