Description
A stronger biological foundation for your saltwater aquarium.
UltraClear Saltwater Complete combines beneficial bacteria that support biological filtration with microbes that help break down organic waste. Use it to start a marine aquarium, support an established reef, or help clear water clouded by suspended organics.
Three ways to support a cleaner marine tank
- Build biological filtration: ammonia-oxidizing and nitrite-oxidizing bacteria help convert ammonia to nitrite and nitrite to nitrate.
- Reduce organic buildup: heterotrophic bacteria help digest uneaten food, detritus and sludge.
- Improve clarity: helps reduce cloudy water and surface films without chemical flocculants.
Suitable for saltwater fish and reef aquariums, including corals and invertebrates, when used as directed. Made in the USA with more than 30 years of UltraClear water-treatment experience. Shelf-stable; no refrigeration required.

Choose your dosing routine
- New aquarium: add 1 fl oz per 10 gallons once. Wait 24 hours before adding fish, then introduce a few at a time and test ammonia and nitrite as the aquarium settles in.
- Cloudy water: add 1 fl oz per 20 gallons weekly until clear.
- Weekly maintenance: add 1 fl oz per 40 gallons.
Turn UV sterilizers off for 24 hours after dosing. Keep pumps and filters running for good circulation. Follow the directions on your bottle.
Find the right bottle
- 12 fl oz: enough for a 120-gallon startup dose, 240 gallons of cloudy-water treatment, or 480 gallons of maintenance treatment.
- 32 fl oz: enough for a 320-gallon startup dose, 640 gallons of cloudy-water treatment, or 1,280 gallons of maintenance treatment.
- 1 gallon: enough for a 1,280-gallon startup dose, 2,560 gallons of cloudy-water treatment, or 5,120 gallons of maintenance treatment.
Coverage is the total volume treated per bottle at the stated rate. Repeated weekly treatments use additional product.
Common questions
Does Saltwater Complete remove nitrate?
No. It supports the biological conversion of ammonia and nitrite; it does not remove nitrate. Continue regular water changes and water-quality testing.
Can I fully stock a new aquarium immediately?
After the startup dose, wait 24 hours and add fish gradually. Test ammonia and nitrite as your biological filter establishes.
Can I use it in an established reef?
Yes. Use the maintenance routine to support biological filtration and organic-waste breakdown, including after water changes or cleaning. Follow the label directions for your aquarium.
